Still no spamming at the boards and we’re pleased with the results!

Results of the spamprotection

One week has passed and the protection has worked like a charm! Not a single spambot have been spamming the board, and it seems like we can start to focus on ”getting this show on the air”! We will continue to monitor the spamfilter and see if it got what it takes to keep our boards spamfree.

Episporting.com update 1.1

Episporting is aiming to become the greatest sportingforum there is. And because of this, we’ve been searching for an alternative way to reduce the spambots to zero. which is crucial for us, in order to reach our goal. It was also important that it wouldn’t be annoying for our users. So finally, with some modding of an already existing application, we manage to inject an antispamming feature that I think will really work. And because of that, we will delete reCaptha (thank god), which by the way, is a really annoying program that doesn’t work too good versus the bots nowadays.

These last weeks has been pretty chill, without too much focusing on the website. But keep in mind that we will soon start publishing the website to get members! Here are a list of the updates :

• This blog, which will be the best place to read news about the forum.
• A better anti-spam application is now online.
• Fixed a minor bug, where you couldn’t post youtubevids properly.
• Fixed a minor bug, where you couldn’t post googlevids properly.
• Fixed an issue, where some users was unable to register properly.
• Made some minor adjustments to optimize the website to the searchengines, which will lead to increased traffic when the forum goes active
